Account Manager – Oracle Applications & Technology (Job Code - OAM)

Responsibilities

• Report s to VP, Sales based out of the USA
• Carries a sales quota and works towards annually agreed goals and objectives with quarterly measurement
• Responsible for building sales pipeline to include prospecting of new accounts
• Identify new customers for Oracle's applications products within an assigned sales territory
• Manage and close sales opportunities through opportunity management, account resource allocation, account strategy and planning, and forecasting
• Increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns to the Oracle Applications install base accounts
• Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and technologies, competitors, industry trends
• Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development, prospecting, and qualifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support
• Sell the value of Oracle technology to executive decision makers
• Adapts a leadership style to fit different situations, and focuses individual and group energies on appropriate key objectives
• Inspires others to achieve a shared vision
• Leverages the sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share

Technical Skills

• Extensive Oracle RDBMS skills
• Installation, management and production support of Oracle RAC 9i/10G (in production) on one of the following platforms – NT, AIX, Solaris or Linux

Responsibilities

• Day to day support of Production and Development database environments

• Ownership of the deliveries for small to medium size projects
• Ongoing evaluation and analysis of the database environments to provide optimum performance

• Provision of ‘on-call’ support in addition to the core on-site daily cover

• Review third party applications and tools for suitability, measure them against our requirements, security and production standards. Manage any recommends made to change these tools/products to meet our standards and requirements
• Define and review appropriate standards for coding PLSQL
• Define and review best practices (standards) for design (logical and physical)
