Calsoft accelerates buy out of Inatech - Strengthens its Oracle practice

Calsoft today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for acquisition of the minority shareholding of 49% in Inatech Infosolutions, India (Inatech). The consideration for the acquisition of this part is valued at approximately USD 6.17 Million and will be paid through a combination of cash & stocks, subject to due regulatory approvals as applicable.

Earlier in Nov 2006, Calsoft had taken 51% majority interest in Inatech, a specialized end-to-end Oracle solutions provider in the enterprise space. As part of the agreement, Calsoft was to originally acquire the balance in November 2009.

Oracle announced fiscal 2008 Q1 GAAP earnings per share

Oracle Corporation announced fiscal 2008 Q1 GAAP earnings per share which were up 28% to $0.16, compared to the same quarter last year. First quarter total GAAP revenues were up 26% to $4.5 billion, while quarterly GAAP net income was up 25% to $840 million. Database and middleware new license revenues were up 23% and applications new license revenues were up 65%. Services revenues were up 25% to $1.1 billion, compared to the same quarter last year.

Inatech employees along with their families spent a fun-filled day, participating in various games and cultural activities. The highlight of the day was the hilarious “Modern Ramayana”, a small play enacted by our team.

Oracle Launches Oracle 11g

Oracle unveiled its major Database 11g on July 11th 2007. The new Database would feature improvements in High Availability, Performance, Scalability and Manageability. In addition the new Compression Technology could potentially reduce customer’s Storage demands by two-thirds and the ability for 11g to store unstructured data faster than traditional file systems. The new database is expected to include a variety of partitioning capabilities.

Highlights of the Results:

Total Revenue was Rs.16894.49 lakhs for the year; Year on Year (YOY) growth of 46 % (Previous year was Rs.11568.50 lakhs)

Operating profit (Profits Before depreciation, interest, amortization & taxes) was Rs.1740.20 lakhs; YOY growth of 78% (Operating profit previous year was Rs.980.09 lakhs)

Profit after tax was Rs.796.77 lakhs for the year with a YOY growth of 69% (PAT previous year was Rs.470.45 lakhs)

Consolidated Earnings per share-EPS (basic) increased to Rs.10.29 - an improvement of 7% over last year (previous year EPS - basic Rs.9.58)

Our Client wanted an integrated solution which can track the location within a specified boundary.
