Inatech to accelerate growth for Oracle User Group

Business solutions specialist to present on Oracle e-Business Suite and Business Intelligence at UKOUG

London, 26 November 2009

Inatech, the award-winning Oracle applications specialist, is scheduled to host two presentations at this winter’s UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) Conference, Technology & E-Business Suite 2009.

The event, to be held from Monday 30th November to Wednesday 2nd December at the Birmingham International Convention Centre (BICC), includes over 240 sessions covering a wide range of issues within Oracle technology, and attracts hundreds of Oracle users every year. There is also an exhibition of over 80 stalls showcasing Oracle Partners hosted and created by the UKOUG.

Inatech’s Michelle Maden will deliver her presentation entitled ‘Oracle Business Accelerators: Better and faster than an upgrade?’ at 10.55am on Monday 30th November. “There is a culture of anxiety over the risk and costs of upgrading to E-Business Suite Release 12, and many Oracle users have put off or abandoned upgrade projects,” said Michelle, who will discuss the advantages of reimplementation using Oracle Business Accelerators. She will also demonstrate how Oracle Business Accelerators automate, set up and enable a rapid CRP.

On the Tuesday at 1.00pm, Inatech’s Piyush Govil will deliver his presentation ‘Business Intelligence (BI) Applications: Do you buy or build?’ According to a 2009 Gartner report, over 35% of the world’s top 5,000 companies will fail to make insightful decisions due to a lack of sufficient BI; with this in mind, Piyush will explore the ‘Buy versus Build’ problem, looking into why 30% of Siebel users use BI applications, and why 70% decide not to buy.

Inatech offers Oracle Accelerate Solutions for high technology and complex manufacturing. Inatech’s speciality in this area and its modular approach means Oracle Accelerate Solutions can be delivered in fewer than four months, at a fixed cost, enabling far greater efficiency and growth. In contrast to the intensity of the conference’s information-packed sessions, Inatech will also be running a competition during the three-day event. As part of their emphasis on acceleration and efficiency, Inatech will be giving away a brand new, top of the range scooter to one lucky attendee.

Harvest Foods implements Oracle ERP to optimize the supply chain

Delivery time reduced by 50%

London, 15 June 2009: Harvest Foods Egypt, has successfully completed the implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.0.5 to simplify and optimize the supply chain and manufacturing process in a project managed by Inatech.

Harvest Foods distributes over 80,000 units a month worldwide and required a system that allows project managers to plan customer demand and supply from raw materials to product delivery. Prior to the implementation of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) by systems specialist Inatech, Harvest Foods struggled to provide a high-quality responsive service to its customers; the new high-performance integrated system will now reduce supply time by 50 per cent.

In the past few weeks Harvest Foods has been eliminating its backlog and running tests throughout the system to filter inaccurate data. The company is expected to experience a significant difference in operation within the next two months.

The Oracle E-Business suite will help the company with decision making, providing very high-level information from across the company in real-time.

“The most important feature of this application is the accuracy of information retrieved to be able to assess supply demands,” said Ibrahim Elawany, IT Manager. “We are now able to control inventory and current assets for distribution. Oracle is the latest technology for the Internet; I can access the application remotely giving me full control of business operations. It is already reducing the time between sourcing materials to customer distribution that will also improve the quality of our products immensely. Inatech’s valuable support has provided a seamless process for implementing Oracle financials which we believe are the most powerful systems worldwide.”

The implementation was initiated and completed by Oracle systems integration specialist, Inatech. Inatech has been operating in Egypt for two years and is a registered ERP supplier with IMC (Industrial Modernization Centre). As part of a large EU fund aiming to boost the Egyptian industrial sector, Inatech was in prime position to manage this system migration on the back of successful implementations in Europe.

Inatech implemented the Oracle modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Purchasing, Inventory, OPM, Order Management, Process Manufacturing, Advanced Supply Chain Planning and Daily Business Intelligence. Inatech provided the solution in Arabic and English including training to in-house users.

Harvest Foods now have improved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) before getting products to the customer. Prior to Inatech’s implementation of the E-Business suite, the foods company was using a local software system that was unable to provide a clear picture of the current situation, often up to 25 days behind schedule.

Harvest Foods is now exported to a large number of customers worldwide including: Middle East, Europe, United States, Africa: Johannesburg, Australia.

ABOUT HARVEST FOODS
The innovator in the food canning industry in Egypt and the Middle East is a private shareholding company established in 1998, with an investment of 50 million Egyptian pounds (about $8.5 million). As well as distributing foods, Harvest Foods produce a majority of its tinplate packs at its factory with two-piece cans re-drawn and produced in-house. These cans offer a new, fancy and unique look for this range of products in the market.

Inatech’s CEO tips for company confidence in the crunch

The recession has drawn one thing to the minds of business people more than anything else; risk.

It was the careless disregard and disproportionate view of risk, after all, that unleashed the recession in the first place, and now with budgets ever-tightening; it is risk that everyone is trying to avoid.

Over-managing risks, however, can be just as destructive as paying no attention to them at all. Srihari Vedante, CEO of Inatech Solutions Ltd., explained in CEO Today that too much caution can be a killer during a crunch.

"It is vital that you learn from your partners’ experience – this is not the time to let your suppliers cut their teeth on your project," he writes.

In the piece, Vedante emphasises that cutting-edge technology alone is not always the answer to all problems, business intelligence also eliminates risks, identifies problems and improves the decision-making process:

"Business intelligence tools are taking centre stage in decision-making and directors are pouring through a sea of data gathered in order to inform their strategic choices."
